Typically, families or individuals begin with an intake appointment which lasts approximately 90 minutes. This allows enough time for me to meet with the individual and the family if the individual is a child. When working with children, I prefer to have time alone with the parents in order to have open communication, particularly if there are sensitive issues. If there has been previous testing, this is the time I will review it with the family, in order to determine the best treatment options. Following the intake appointment, the different options will be discussed with the family. Treatment options typically include:
- Full Psychological Evaluations
- Brief Educational Screening
- Individual Therapy Sessions
- Family Therapy Sessions
- Case Conferences with the Child’s School
- Vocational Support
- Group Counseling
- Referral to appropriate service provider, as necessary
